Richard Blackburn
Richard Blackburn is a senior counsel in our banking and Islamic finance practice. He has extensive experience in advising international and regional banks, funds and corporates in relation to derivatives (both conventional and Islamic) and Islamic finance transactions. Richard also advises in relation to regulatory capital transactions and structured product issuances. Prior to joining STAT, Richard practised with several major US and UK law firms and has spent time on secondment with several investment banks.
Richard is a qualified lawyer in England and Wales.

Sultan Albadi
Sultan, a trainee associate in the Capital Markets practice, specializes in financial law. He applies his experience from a government fund and his background in Islamic finance, project finance, and Sukuk to advise on complex securities transactions.
His role involves providing legal support on offerings and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. This diverse financial knowledge enhances his advisory capabilities. He is currently training to become a licensed lawyer with the Saudi Bar Association.
