Abdulaziz, a counsel specializing in international trade matters related to the World Trade Organization agreements (Anti-dumping Agreement, Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures, and Safeguards Agreement), advises governmental entities, Saudi, GCC, and international corporations on WTO related matters. He has represented companies and industry associations in trade remedies investigations before GAFT, GCC-TSAIP, and multiple other international jurisdictions.
Prior to joining STAT, Abdulaziz served as Executive Director of Legislative Affairs at the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, overseeing legislation related to local content, trade remedies, and industrial enablement. He also represented the GCC Secretariat General at WTO in Geneva trade remedies meetings and was a member of the national committee of the Kingdom’s third trade policy review at the WTO. Abdulaziz was involved in the Kingdom’s negotiations of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) as a member of the Saudi technical negotiating team with several countries.
