He has extensive experience in advising international and regional banks, funds and corporates in relation to derivatives (both conventional and Islamic) and Islamic finance transactions. Richard also advises in relation to regulatory capital transactions and structured product issuances. Prior to joining STAT, Richard practised with several major US and UK law firms and has spent time on secondment with several investment banks.

Richard is a qualified lawyer in England and Wales.
