Faris Al Amoudi

Faris Al Amoudi is a banking and Islamic finance Partner at STAT Law Firm. Faris has been involved in a range of banking (conventional and Islamic) and debt capital markets experience including advising large corporate entities, investment banking clients and governments and government related entities in relation to sovereign lending, corporate financing, debt restructuring, acquisition financing, real estate financing, investment grade lending, Islamic derivatives and MTN and Sukuk issuances both in the GCC and Europe. Faris has given speeches at conferences in the MENA region, including a seminar hosted by the Dubai International Financial Centre on the impact of Basel III on capital markets deals (conventional and Islamic) and a seminar in Egypt on the practical aspects of sukuk transactions sponsored by the Egyptian Ministry of Finance and the Islamic Development Bank. Prior to the establishment of STAT Law Firm, Faris practiced in the Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Riyadh offices of White and Case LLP for over 6 years. Prior to joining White and Case LLP, Faris qualified and practiced in the London and Dubai offices of Norton Rose Fulbright for over 4 – 5 years. Robert Vydra is a partner in our Saudi Arabian Capital Markets practice. He has been practising in Saudi Arabia since 2007 and has worked on several dozen public and private offerings of securities. Many of the IPOs and other offerings on which Robert has worked rank among the largest and most high-profile securities offerings in the Saudi market.
